Russian and East European Studies

The Russian and East European Studies Program (REESP) brings together faculty and students from a variety of fields to pursue a common interest in the cultures, history, languages and political institutions of Eastern and Central Europe and the successor states to the USSR. Through our Certificate Program, we aim to provide a rigorous and comprehensive liberal arts training, preparing our students for continuing engagement with Russia, Eurasia, and Eastern Europe throughout their careers. In addition, we serve as a culture resource by sponsoring lectures, field trips, symposia, films and other events. The Russian and East European Studies Program welcomes anyone who is interested in participating in its activities.
