John Ranieri, Ph.D.

Father Ranieri studies and writes on the relationship between the Abrahamic traditions and philosophy. He is the author of two books and numerous articles. Influenced by the thought of Rene Girard, he is interested in exploring the connections between desire, violence, religion, and culture. Father Ranieri also has a long standing interest in the thought of Jesuit philosopher/theologian Bernard Lonergan and the writings of Tolstoy.
