Transfer Credit Conversion
Please Note: The Transfer Credit Conversion Tool and information on this page is applicable to incoming transfer students only; it is not intended for use by incoming freshman. Incoming freshman should submit transcripts to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions to receive an evaluation of college level coursework completed during high school. Currently-enrolled and continuing students should consult their academic advisor before taking classes at another institution.
If your school or courses are not listed, this indicates that we do not currently have any equivalencies on file for this school or course. In this case, please refer to the Advanced Standing document that is sent after admission to Seton Hall.
Please note, there are some conditions and exceptions to the credit equivalency information displayed in this chart:
- This tool provides only preliminary information to serve as a guide. It is only a projection of transfer credits you may be able to receive. Your actual credit evaluation may differ and final evaluations of your credit transfer eligibility will be reviewed by faculty upon enrollment. Please also be advised that multiple factors may alter these equivalencies including, but not limited to, changes in your academic program, changes to degree requirements, program or course changes at Seton Hall or the institution from which you are transferring.
- Students must earn a C or better in a course in order to receive the equivalent credit.
- Courses transferring for credit must be non-remedial, non-vocational courses.
- Nursing students who took the following courses at a community college will receive general elective credit only: Anatomy & Physiology I & II; Microbiology; Organic Chemistry. These credits will transfer as elective credit provided you earned a C or better. If these courses were taken at a four-year institution, you can receive direct equivalent credit provided you earned a B or better.
- If your school or courses are not listed, this indicates that we do not currently have any equivalencies on file for this school or course. In this case, please refer to the Advanced Standing document that is sent after admission to Seton Hall.
